Permalink Reply by Rusty Gunn. on January 15, 2010 at 1:06pm Sorry, I know this is old, but as stated in the article.
"Scientists have discovered the earliest known Hebrew writing — an inscription dating from the 10th century B.C., during the period of King David's reign."
1 century = 100 years
...thus...
10 centuries = 1000 years
...so it would have been 1,000 BC...not 10,000 BC
Permalink Reply by Avicenna on May 16, 2011 at 12:06am Oh my! That's old... But by that logic Buddhism is 3000 years older than 600 BC because it is based of Hinduism which itself has the issue of Vedas referring to "lost works" that predated it. (Think of it as the Old Testament that says, "If you reference page 125 in the Epic of Gilgamesh...)
All this effects is making the Old Testament even more ridiculous. I am sorry, if you are listening to the world view of people 3000 years ago, then you must have been elsewhere the day they were handing out brains.
