The Christians are totally on the Lying Guy's side, if Facebook is anything to go by.

And everytime the thinking ones try to discuss it we are called bitter and twisted and not as a compliment!

The last paragraph of the article says it all:
"While many in the church were embarrassed by the betrayal, others showed support on Facebook, where a page titled "We are STILL praying for you Mike Guglielmucci" was set up yesterday."

On behalf of my wife, who actually did have terminal cancer, I'd like to punch this man in the face. He reminds me of the charlatans who used to float around her and other cancer patients, hawking their magical rocks, super-duper vitamin pills, and waving around of hands "just like Jesus did." Fortunately my wife knew the difference between a doctor and witch-doctor.

These subhuman dung beetles are beneath contempt, and I hope this particular little shit-eater gets what he deserves.

this reminds me of some videos about scientologist, that I have been watching lately. It has been frequently demonstrated that when you first tell many scientologist about Xenu and how 100s of billions of people from 76 planets and twenty five stars and were flown to earth in DC-8 looking rockets were put in volcano that had hydrogen bombs blow up on top of them.(You should be sufficating and dying instantly with pneumonia if you get this knowledge unless you get to Thetan III) They will denying it and just say its rumor or that you are just stirring shit.

The Scientologists have done well, and earned their cult status sure, but if only they'd been a little less explicitly expensive, and a little less with the aliens, they could have doubled their gang.
the penties still get people to believe the same level of crap but they dress it up in a more palatable carrot and stick fashion.

For all the people who are so worried about Mikie more than anyone, the phrase Drink the Kool Aid comes to mind...hMM

the still praying for you mike pages are what has made me jump up and down. that they are so ready to close ranks around an explicit case of fraud is alarming. that the sheep are so willing to lay down and take it is stupifying.
these people have proven themselves dangerous by their response.
there is no other way to treat them but a dangerous cult.

Cancer Preacher is gonna be on 7's Today/Tonight (OZ time) tomorrow evening. Judging from the preview, he's blubbering like a pudgy schoolboy caught stealing the other kids lunch money. Should be thoroughly nauseating. Whoever has the toys, a vidcap for these pages would be appropriate.

I agree. The pentecostal handling of big situations is most often a bungle. They never cease to amaze me at how short sighted they can be.
We could probably pre record it ourselves, given previous performances such as these, and I think we could get it pretty close.
What is astounding is that they have no insight into PR even still, and choose Today Tonight as a forum. There had to be a bidding between the networks, and there has to be a cash exchange.
yet it doesn't occur to the millionaires to pick another way to address the masses.
in any case, why is Cancer Boy so ready to go on air? Because it's marketable now, not later. Later, when he's had psychiatric intervention, there may not be as much cash.
So they're all still deluded, Mikie's being hardcore controlled. In all seriousness the guy must be a mess. His life as he knew it is OVER. I'd be watching him 24/7 if I were them, seriously, or he may throw the biggest performance of his life.
Poor Mikie. All to get Daddy Danny's attention.
This beats Big Brother by 17 thousand light years.

Cancer Preacher update - after being inexplicably shelved for 2 days, the story ran just now. Video feed not available yet, don't know if it will be. But according to the report, this repulsive pantomime wasn't his fault at all, it was all because of his pornography addiction.

No less than 3 copies of the Today / Tonight report were posted on YouTube within 30 minutes of the story airing. All 3 got pulled instantly. I'm willing to bet there's a 1000 Hillsong Jesus freaks online now, doing YouTube searches for Guglielmucci as fast as their browser refreshes allow, and will be for the foreseeable. Religion can do that to ya.
