The Dallas Memory walk has been selected as the event in which team NTCOF will be participating. It will be held at the Dallas Zoo on November 21, 2009. Check-in begins at 7:00am and the Walk begins at 9:00am. Register to walk on the NTCOF MOVE site: http://memorywalk09.kintera.org/dallas/ntcof
Registration is free and collecting donations is optional. I have set a goal of $1,000 for the team and (since the main point is to raise money to fight Alzheimer's disease) suggest that everyone who participates aims to raise or give at least $100 (which qualifies you for a free MOVE t-shirt).
I have been informed that it may be a little bit confusing to register. Click on the link above which takes you to the NTCOF team page. From there you want to click on the "Join our Team" text hyperlink that is located directly below the title "Welcome to the Team Page of North Texas Church of Freethought." This will take you to a waiver, read it then click "I agree." It will then take you to a form, fill it out (option to donate towards the bottom is optional), then click continue and follow any remaining instructions. Make sure to give it your real email address because they need to know it to confirm and send you information about your MOVE registration.
Please let me know if you have any questions and feel free to invite friends to walk with us.
If you can't walk you can participate by donating money to the team.
