We need to kick off someting similar in da UK cos this just sounds amazin. All us AIM folks would love to be there, especially for Dawkins and Proclaim. Who's all playin da music now?

I so wanna be there. Will da convention only ever be held in da USA?

Yep, my first convention, too and I won't know anyone. I just helped found Joplin Freethinkers (joplinfreethinkers.org) and hope to learn more about running local groups as well as having some fun. So look me up if you're "alone" as well. I'm assuming the convention will have some mixer events or we can just meet between sessions and such. Like everyone else I'm waiting to see the schedule get published.

Just found out the cost. Can't really afford to go. I volunteered at the last convention in Long beach, will it be possible to do the same again?

I would love to go, and I don't know another person attending, either...but unless I get a job (out of work for a year and three months, now), I can't afford it. :-( But, hopefully, I will get a job soon, and then maybe I can meet up with some friends here (once I make them...I just joined, today). :-)

Dave, please don't feel intimidated by not knowing anyone. Everyone I know I met at the conference last year!! It's a great way to make atheist friends.
